Don't forget to VOTE! Tuesday April 28th, from 7AM to 8PM at the Milton Senior Center, 10 Walnut St
My husband, two sons, and I have called Milton home for 13 years. As a parent of children in the Milton Public Schools, I am committed to supporting our schools and advocating for the resources our students need. I'm also invested in our community: My work with Connect Milton--welcoming new residents to town, helping them navigate local resources, and become more civically engaged--has been thoroughly rewarding. I also enjoy working together with my neighbors as part of the Pine Tree Brook Neighborhood Association to organize annual events like the Pine Tree Brook Cleanup.
Professionally, I bring a unique blend of analytical, creative, and advocacy experiences and skills to my role in Town Meeting. My career includes a decade in global nutrition research, followed by my current work in food media since 2018. Though very different careers, both have required attention to detail, team work, and creative problem-solving. Furthermore, my experience organizing my workplace labor union and serving as a union steward has prepared me to listen to diverse perspectives, and work together to achieve a common goal.
Some of my favorite things about Milton include my caring neighbors; walking our dog along Pine Tree Brook; our proximity to the Blue Hills, the Neponset bike path, and public transportation into Boston; our vibrant library that provides so much more than just books; and the volunteer-run sports organizations for my kids.
